“Big band sounds of yesterday and today”
Since 2004, The Royal Virginians have been Virginia's premiere Big Band Dance Orchestra. Specializing in the music of the 20's, 30's, 40's, and beyond, this 14-Piece Big Band provides listening and dancing enjoyment through its inimitable style and vast library of custom arrangements: classic tunes, waltzes, Latin styles, society numbers, swing, Dixieland, Rock -N- Roll, and so much more.
Hits of the Big Band era, show tunes, and popular pieces from the great American song writers are all a part of The Royal Virginians Big Band magic.
The Royal Virginians perform everything from Hank Williams and Kenny Rogers to Patsy Cline, The Village People, The Beatles, Jimmy Buffett, Frank Sinatra, Guy Lombardo, Glenn Miller, Barry Manilow, and Tony Bennett (that’s just to name a few!). And it’s all performed in a very danceable “Big Band” style.
Vocals are provided by Deborah Leone and Bryan Wade. Trombonist Russ Robertson sings Dixieland and Novelty selections with the Royal Virginians.
From the Central Virginia area to Charlottesville, Washington, D.C., Virginia Beach, Baltimore, New York, and beyond, The Royal Virginians are the perfect choice for live entertainment. An evening with the Royal Virginians is like an evening with the Great American Song Book.
